HOPE--Joerita Lynn Davis, 54, of Hope, died February 2, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, on February 3,1955, to Joseph and Avis Christine Elliot Jackson, and was a housekeeper and a Methodist. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vanessa Greenfield.
Survivors include her husband, Elvin Davis, of Hope; two daughters, Kristi Pepper, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Emily Sue Clifton, of Crestview, Fla.; her father, Joseph Jackson, of West Kirbyville, Texas; her mother, Avis Jackson, of Texarkana; one brother, Robert Jackson, of DeKalb, Texas; one sister, Gail Driscoll, of Texarkana, and five grandchildren.
