Annie Mae Porter McFadden. 55, died Sunday, July 11, 2010. She was born March 20, 1953, to the late Jessie Porter and Rubie Lee Archer Porter.
She joined church at an early age. In her later years, she joined Rising Star Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health prevented her from actively participating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Porter and Rubie Lee Archer Porter; a sister, Jessie Mae Porter Carrigan; and two brothers, Garland and Jerry Louis Porter.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kimberly Renee McFadden, of Hope; her husband, Leroy McFadden, of Blevins; just like daughter, Tempress (Jeremy) Poole, of Hope; four sisters, Rutha (James) Carrigan, of Hope, Everlean Porter, of Little Rock, Yvonne Carolyn Porter, of Hope, Yvette Marilyn (Clayton) Miller, of Bossier City, La.; special brother-in-law, Tommie Lee Carrigan, of Bossier City, La.; three aunts, Alma Flowers, of Texarkana, Ora Marie Porter, of Oakland, Calif., Gladys Archer, of Nashville; and, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with family hour from 6-7 p.m., Friday, July 16, at Hicks Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Rising Star Baptist Church in Hope.
Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Columbus.Arrangements are entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
