Robert E. Hamilton, 68, of Beeville, died January 26, 2010. He was born October 24, 1941, in Columbus, to the late Dan W. Hamilton and Clara Downs Hamilton. He was a hair stylist and a member of the Central Baptist Church in Magnolia. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Debbie Pearson Hamilton, whom he married December 4, 1979, in Magnolia, and two brothers, Bill and Allen Hamilton.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Hamilton, of Houston, Texas, and Matt Hamilton, of Hope; one sister, Evelyn (RC) Jeans, of Beeville, Texas; one niece, Pamela Jeans, of Beeville; one uncle, Dr. Forney G. Holt, of Hope; cousins, Emma Loop, Tommy Holt, Terry Lile Downs, and Willam A. Downs, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 30, from 5-6 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Chapel in Beeville, with Chaplain Robert Styers and the Rev. Eddie H. Garcia, officiating. Burial will be held Monday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at Moore Memorial Garden in Arlington, Texas, under the direction of Galloway and Sons Funeral Home of Beeville.
