SPRING HILL - Spring Hill Schools have announced school performance reports based on ACTAAP/EOC state-mandated testing that put the local school district in full compliance.
“Both campuses are rated at ‘Achieving/Meets Standards’ with no areas of alert status for any of the subgroups,” Spring Hill High School Principal Steve Britton said.
In third grade math, the percentage of proficient and advanced scores were 100 percent and 97 percent in literacy. In fourth grade math, 94 percent were proficient or advanced and 91 percent in literacy.
Fifth grade math showed 80 percent were proficient or advanced, in literacy 83 percent, and in science 61 percent. In sixth grade math, 89 percent scored proficient or advanced, and 94 percent in literacy.
In seventh grade math, 66 percent scored proficient or advanced, in literacy 71 percent, and in science 39 percent, the report said.
Eighth grade math scores were 78 percent proficient or advanced and 82 percent were proficient or advanced in literacy.
SAT-10 Test ninth grade scores showed 64 percent proficient or advanced in literacy and 95 percent in math.
In eleventh grade, 66 percent scored proficient or advanced in literacy. Algebra I EOC, 100 percent, geometry EOC, 88 percent, and biology EOC, 44 percent were proficient or advanced.
“The district’s goals regarding meeting AYP (annual yearly progress) were met and will continue to be a priority in the education of students,” Spring Hill Schools Superintendent Dickie Williams said.
