In a statement released by the Hope Police Department on Monday, it was announced that on Friday, July 20, members of the 8th Task Force, along with other agencies, served arrest and search warrants at 1011 North Sherman Street in Hope.

In a statement released by the Hope Police Department on Monday, it was announced that on Friday, July 20, members of the 8th Task Force, along with other agencies, served arrest and search warrants at 1011 North Sherman Street in Hope.
Corey J. Armstrong, B/M 37 years of age, was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
A search of the residence found 5.3 grams of cocaine, marijuana, pills, drug paraphernalia and a 40 caliber pistol.   Armstrong was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine and Simultaneous Possession of a Firearm and Narcotics.  Armstrong was placed in the Hempstead County Detention Facility pending first judicial appearance.
Earlier last week, on Monday, July 16, Stephen Hendrix, B/M 23 years of age, of 214 E. Hickory St. was taken into custody by the Hope Police Department for 2 counts of Delivery of Cocaine and Marijuana.
This investigation was also conducted by members of the 8th Task Force.  Hendrix was placed in the Hempstead County Detention Facility for first Judicial Appearance.
In a separate announcement from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, another Task Force arrest also occurred on Friday, July 20.
According to the Sheriff’s Office statement, agents from the 8th North Task Force and deputies from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Kacey Allen Bunnell and 47-year-old Chad Hamm of Hope, For Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Bunnell was also charged with possession of a weapon by certain persons.
Agents and deputies seized 342 grams (12.9 oz) of methamphetamines valued at approximately $30,000 dollars, scales, approximately $362.00 dollars in currency and a 9mm semi-auto handgun.
Both were transported to the HCDF where they will be held pending a First Court Appearance.
