The Blevins junior high Hornets came out victorious over Ouachita on the road this past Tuesday night. The jr. Hornets edged off Ouachita, 46-43.
In the game, Trevon Reed led scoring in double-figures with 14 points and nailing the a trey from behind the arc for the game winning shot. Ivan Gomez and Thomas Turners both scored in double-digits with 11 point apiece.
With the win, the junior high Hornets are crowned conference champions with a 25-1 overall record and 4-0 in conference. The jr. Hornets and the jr. Lady Hornets will get ready to compete in the district tournament held at Oucahita. The jr. Hornets will enter the tournament as a No. 1 seed. The tournament is scheduled February 6-11.
