The Spring Hill Bears and Lady Bears wrapped up the 7-2A West Conference season defeating Dierks on the road this past Tuesday night.
The No. 4 ranked Lady Bears defeated the Lady Outlaws 55-40 to clinch the conference title for another consecutive season.
The Bears came out victorious over the Outlaws 57-51 and seek revenge from their first meeting back on Jan. 6. For hoop action, the seventh grade girls started out the night defeating Dierks, 20-12. In the game, Lady Bears' Lilly Kidd led scoring in double-figures with 12 points, Destiny Collins added five points and Alyssa Dougan had three points.
The seventh grade Lady Bears finish their season undefeated at 10-0.In junior high boys play, the jr. Bears battled hard but came up short to Dierks, 48-27.
In the game, jr. Bears' West Smith led scoring in double-figures with 11 points, Jonathan Whipkey and Dalton Kidd each had five points apiece.
In senior high girls play, the Lady Bears built a strong first half advantage over the Lady Outlaws, 24-16 at halftime. In the second half, the Lady Bears out-scored Dierks 31-24 as Spring Hill came out with a 15 point win and remain undefeated in conference.
In the game, Lady Bears' Lauren Kidd and Suzie Gresham led scoring in double-figures with 15 points apiece. Jamie Nance scored eight points, Karleigh Creech put up six points, Madison Kidd had five points, Claire McMaster added four points and Kaylee Fincher chipped in two points.
The Lady Bears finish the conference season with a 14-0 record, improve to 24-2 overall as the 7-2A West conference champs.
In senior high boys play, the Bears took an early lead over the Outlaws at halftime, 28-21. In the second half, the Outlaws out-scored the Bears 30-29, but Spring Hill secured a seven point victory.
In the game, Bears' Boone Kidd led scoring in double-figures with 23 points along swishing three trey's.
Kylan Ford scored 10 points, Justin Calhoon and Carter Yocom each had six points apiece, Brady Thrift and Kevin Aaron each scored five points apiece and Ryan Orr added three points.
This Friday, the Bears and Lady Bears return home to host Taylor with tip-off set for 4:30 p.m., beginning with junior high play followed by senior high action at Spring Hill Gymnasium.
