Connor Eldridge, U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, announced the charges Thursday afternoon which stem from seven separate indictments issued and arrest warrants executed between January, 2013, and Thursday.
Charged with federal counts involving the sale or distribution of methamphetamine were Adrian Dabila Aranda, 34; Ishmael Aranda, Jr., 19; Christian Archer, 29; Laquan D. Haynes, 29; James L. Block, 24; Brodney J. Dixon, 28; Billy R. Florence, 31; Lamario D. Henderson, 25; Carlos Leonel Silva, 29; Phil Stuard, Jr., 30; and Deshawn G. White, 25, all from the Hope area.
Stemming from an investigation begun in January, 2013, Adrian D. Aranda and Laquan D. Haynes were the first to be arrested in separate investigations. Block has yet to be arrested because he is currently incarcerated in the Texas prison system, and Archer, Florence, Henderson and Silva will be arraigned in federal district court in Texarkana on Friday morning, according to federal authorities.
According to court papers filed in separate cases, the defendants are charged with the sale or distribution, or aiding and abetting the sale or distribution, or conspiracy to possess amounts of methamphetamine ranging from one ounce to 50 grams.
