Earlene Butler, 80, of Bodcaw, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, in Prescott. Mrs. Butler was born August 14, 1933, in Bodcaw, to Erliss and Denver Mattison Grisham. She was retired from PNW Railroad and a lifelong member of the Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church, where she served as clerk for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a special step-mother, Aline Grisham Claus. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dexter Butler, of the home; sons, Todd Butler (Annette) of Bodcaw, and David Butler (Peggy) of Blevins; daughter, Phyllis Vines (Mike) of Cabot; grandsons, Chris, Chad, and Cody; one great-grandson Wesley. Visitation will be held Monday, January 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home Chapel in Hope. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, at 10 a.m. in the Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church, with Bro. Lane Garner and Bro. David Hampton officiating, with interment to follow in the Bodcaw Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home of Hope. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church.
