Thirteen local businesses were recently recognized for their support of the Hope Police Department's Public Awareness Literature Campaign. “We want to thank our local businesses that provided monetary support for our program,” Hope Chief of Police J. R. Wilson, said. “With help from local partners, HPD is able to purchase and provide valuable age-graded informational materials to the people of our community and our schools during Hope Police Department speaking events. “Materials include drug awareness, sexting, bullying, cyber-bullying, neighborhood watches, peer pressure, crime in the workplace, stop the violence, identity theft, and kids coloring books addressing bicycle safety, strangers, good choices, and general safety issues,” Wilson said. The 2013 donors were Best Western Hotel, Byreview Veterinary Clinic, Hampton Inn, Heather Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Holiday Inn Express, Hollis Heating and Air, Hope Auto, Hope Haven Retirement Home, Hope Physical Therapy Center, Martin's, Parrish Equipment, Super 8 Hotel, and Tyson Foods Corporation. “We simply cannot do everything that we do without the support and help of our community,” Wilson said. “The 2013 fundraising campaign was a success. We hope to maintain continued support for this program in the future.”
