Bobby Neal “Bob” Henderson, 72, of Hope, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at his home in Hope. Mr. Henderson was born on May 27, 1940, in Mineral Springs, to Delmar and Dessie Mae Taylor Henderson. He began his career as a teacher and coach and later was employed by Tex Ark and SMI Joist in Hope. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Della Buck. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Henderson; two sons, Jerry Richard Henderson, of Hope, and Charles Wesley Henderson and wife, Laura, of Texarkana; a daughter, Sherry D. Howard and husband, Chris, of Hope; two brothers, Delmar Henderson, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Nashville, and Edward Henderson and wife, Ruby, of Mineral Springs; a sister, Jeanine Coleman, of Mishiwaka, Indiana; five grandchildren, Emily McBride, Justin and Jordon Henderson, Skylar and Katie Howard; one great-grandchild, Ethan Henderson; and numerous other family members and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at A Place of Meeting Church in Perrytown, with Bro. Nathaniel Crane officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabee Cemetery in Hope.
