Lance "Scratch" Flowers, 48 of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Flowers was born July 17, 1964, in Hope, to Charles and Ann Jeter Flowers. He was self-employed for years
with his Flowers Heat and Air business. Lance had a great love for the outdoors including all kinds of hunting and
fishing. This month he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his heart transplant. His big heart was evidenced by his
love and willingness to always help others, his love of all species of birds and especially his love for his dogs and
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Flowers, who died in 2005; and his aunt, Willie Dee Bobo.
His survivors include, his father, Charles Flowers and Judy, of Hope; his sister, Shannon Hilburn and Tad, of Spring Hill; two beloved nephews, Chase and Remington Hilburn, of Spring Hill; and, his grandfather, Otto Black, of Haynesville, Louisiana.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Hope chapel, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery at Spring Hill.
