Deronda Rae Ferguson Cloyd, 80, of Hope, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Cloyd was born April 29, 1932, in Nashville, to Erbon Ray and Mildred McMullan Ferguson. She was a homemaker, former employee of Klipsch in Hope, and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She loved to work outside in her yard planting things, and also loved to work with her hands doing things such as woodwork and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Glen Beavers and Phillip W. Cloyd; a brother, Jodie Ferguson; and a grandson, Ty Beavers.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Beavers and wife, Pat, of Hope, David Beavers and wife, Suzanne, of Spring Hill, and Gary Beavers, of Hope; a sister, Erma Boyce, of Columbus; five grandchildren, Joey Beavers, Corey Beavers, Malinda Brinkmeyer, Miranda Cole, and Sabrina Beavers; seven great-grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
Funeral service are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel, with Bro. Glen Tropp officiating. Burial will follow in Columbus Cemetery in Columbus.
