Sherry Kay Robinson, 57, of Malvern passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Mercy St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs. Mrs. Robinson was born to Johnny Junior and Ruthie Huelene Shewbirt on January 11, 1956. The youngest of four children, Sherry was outgoing, energetic, smart and funny and used those talents to charm and entertain those fortunate enough to be in her presence. She could recreate an entire movie or sing and dance her way through a musical without the benefit of any supporting cast. She was an actress, mimic, singer, dancer and comedian. Sherry filled a room with her laughter and high energy. In 1993, she married the love of her life and soulmate, David Robinson. Together they raised children, worked, traveled and supported her beloved “Razorbacks”. Loved by all her children, Sherry never said, “Here's a toy, go play”, she said, “Here's a toy, let's play.” She was the pied piper of children and loved them all, but especially her grandchildren, Anna, Raney, Emma, Ryder, Elanea and Olivia. Her role as grandmother was her greatest joy. Her personal life was devoted to her family and various others who she “adopted” into her family and often into her home. Sherry was generous with her time and resources, never scrimping on either when she could make a difference. She loved God, David, and her family, followed closely by Hershey's chocolate and Diet Coke. She was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University, and spent her professional life as a computer programmer for Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Sherry is survived by her husband, David Robinson; sons, Wesley Foster, Lane Robinson and Joshua Robinson; daughter, Laura Plant and her husband, Dustin; six grandchildren, Anna Foster, Raney Foster, Emma Foster, Ryder Plant, Elanea Robinson and Olivia Robinson; mother, Huey Shewbirt; three sisters, Beverly Loe and husband, Buddy, Jan Hooker and husband, Jerry, Kathye Buckallew and husband, Ron; one brother, Tim Shewbirt; mother-in-law, Carma Robinson, and daughter of the heart, Amanda Farrar and countless other family members. Sherry's life will be honored in a memorial service at Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m. Arrangements made by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church 928 Traskwood Road, Malvern, AR 72104. Guests may register at
