Lenna Faye Knowles, 83, of Malvern, died Sunday February 24, 2013.
Mrs. Knowles was born July 27, 1929, in Willow, to Leonard and Mable (Nantze) Bane. Faye was a very caring and nurturing woman that deeply loved her daughter, grandchildren and her siblings. Her hobbies included collecting family photographs, gardening, canning, quilting, planting and caring for her flowers, and she prided herself in her cooking. Faye will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, George Henry Knowles; one grandson, William (Bo) Vance Teets, Jr.; one great-grandson, Dawson Ray Buffington; and two sisters-in-law, Hazel Bane and Joy L. Bane.
She is survived by one daughter, Reba (Kelly) Eakley, of Malvern; three brothers, Thomas L. Bane of Lono, James C. (Anita) Bane, of Malvern, and Billy W. (Sadie) Bane, of Rolla; two sisters, Bonnie J. (Charles) Fite, of Malvern, and Phyllis K. (Jan) Hill, of Malvern; two grandchildren, Amanda Faye (Daniel) Buffington, of Hope, and Stephanie Georgane Teets, of Hope; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Taylor and Madison Rae Buffington.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Atkinson Chapel in Malvern. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, at 10 a.m. at Atkinson Chapel, with Brother Eric Fisher officiating. Interment will be at Black Springs Cemetery in Norman.
Pallbearers will be Robin Eakley, Michael Bane, Dewayne Bane, Jason P. Hill, Scott Wright, and Jacob Kitchens.
Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Bane.
