The Arkansas State Police has new information in the investigation of a murder that occurred earlier this month in Conway along Interstate 40. Jose Martinez, 31, of Conway, the driver of a black Nissan Frontier pick-up truck, was shot Sunday morning, Feb. 10, as he approached the I-40 westbound exit onto Dave Ward Drive in Conway. Martinez was found later in the pick-up truck and transported to a Conway hospital, where he died, according to the ASP. Special agents assigned to the ASP Criminal Investigation Division now suspect a white, four-door Nissan passenger car may have been in the area where Martinez was killed, according to a statement issued by the agency. Agents are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen the white Nissan as early as 4:45 a.m. in the vicinity of I-40 at Morgan or along the westbound lanes into Conway at late at 5:15 a.m., ASP spokesman Bill Sadler said. Persons with information about the vehicles should contact the Arkansas State Police at (501) 618-8100.
