William G. Harwell, Sr., 83, of Nashville, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Harwell was born on February 17, 1929, in Nashville, the son of the late Joseph Morris and Leila Maude Frey Harwell. He was a member of the Biggs Chapel Methodist Church in Nathan, a Navy veteran and a member of the Good Ole Boys.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Harwell, and a granddaughter, Heather Littleton.
Survivors include his wife, Daphne Harwell, of Nashville; two sons, William G. Harwell, Jr., of Virginia Beach, and Lance Harwell, of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Brenda Baum, of Alexandria, La., and Teresa Littleton, of Nashville; one brother, Bobby Harwell, of Conway; three sisters, Ann Parker, of Nashville, Myra Young, of Nashville, and Autholine Cross, of Beaumont, Texas; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Biggs Chapel Methodist Church in Nathan, with Rev. Al Terrell officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial will follow in Academy Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
