Shirlie E. Garner, 68 of Blanchard, Louisiana, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mrs. Garner was born August 25, 1944, in the state of Washington to James R. and Frances Pratt. She was a home maker and was a retired employee from A.T.& T.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Garner, who passed away in 2011; and her two sisters, Bev Hall and Jean Martin. Shirlie will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and “Precious”.
Survivors include her two daughters, Bonnie Green, of Hilliard, Florida, and Brenda Roy, of Newark, Texas; her brothers, Jim Pratt of Aurora, Colorado, John Pratt, of Kettle Falls, Washington, Pat Pratt, of Collierville, Washington; her sisters, Barbie Ruzicka, of Moyie Springs, Idaho, and Linda Ferderer, of Missaual, Montana; six grandchildren, Kesia M. Colvin, James R. Wilcox, Heather G. Thomas, Amber N. Green, Chad A. Green and Samantha L. Green; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Thomas, Alyssa Thomas, Jacob Wilcox, Jasmine Wilcox and David Colvin; other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 11, at the Blanchard Nazarene Church, 251 North Main, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71107.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Huckabee Cemetery in Spring Hill, with Bro. Lane Garner officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
