Jimmy “Jim” Johnson, 59, of Hope, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Johnson was born May 19, 1953, in Hope Springs, to Lester Charles and Helen Cox Johnson. He was employed by Southern Bakery and was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Otto, of Oklahoma and Jeremiah Johnson, of New Mexico; two daughters, Amanda Spoo and husband, Billy, of Kirby, and Candace Sarantos, of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers, Lonnie, Lynn and Roger Dale Johnson, all of Hope; two sisters, Jo Ann Dease, of Florida, and Carla Stone, of Hope; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 21, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
