Roy Donnell Scoggins, 66, of Hope, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Scoggins was born January 18, 1946, in Los Angeles, Calif., and he was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of St. John Baptist Church. He was employed by Klipsch until his retirement. He is survived by one son Lydell Scoggins, of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Asia Scoggins, of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Pearl V. Scoggins, of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Ina R. Wade, Sharon D. Williams, Norma K. (Charles) Bastedo, Lannette A. Scoggins, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, Wendell L. Scoggins, of Columbus; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 18, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, January 19, at St. John Baptist Church, 1507 North Hickory St. in Hope. Interment will be at the V.A. Cemetery in Little Rock. Arrangements are entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., in Hope.
