Glen Marshall, 78, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in Flint, Michigan.
Mr. Marshall was born June 4, 1934, in Mineral Spring, the son of John and Ardie Marshall. He moved to Flint, Mich., in 1965. He was employed at Flint Metal Fabricating for 30 years before retiring.
He leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters, Glendafaye Smith, Mary Brook, Debrah (Alex) Parker, Brenda Stanley; seven sons, Larry (Myra) Marshall, James Marshall, Anthony (Tora) Marshall, Glen Marshall, Jr., Lorenzo Marshall and Alex (Remona) Marshall, all of Flint, Mich.; 40 grandchildren, including Manosha Brooks, whom he raised; 65 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; five sisters; a brother; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Marshall; a son; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; hiss parents; grandparents; a sister; and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, January 18, at Bethel AME Church in Hope. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Mineral Springs.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with family hour from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, January 17, at the funeral home.
