Police took a suspect into custody this morning who is believed to have been involved in a robbery earlier today.

The suspect was reportedly robbed an Arkadelphia bank and then fled, prompting a massive chase that involved several area law enforcement agencies. The man, a black male who has not yet been identified, was arrested about 12:15 p.m. today on the Ouachita River near the Ouachita Baptist University soccer fields. Information from students this morning indicated that OBU was on lock down for a period of time.

Police are indicating that an undisclosed amount of cash has been recovered.
